Privacy & POPIA

How this website handles — and does not handle — personal information, under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

A static site, by design

This website consists of static files only. There is no server-side code, no database, no login, and no network path to any clinical system. The pages you read are pre-built files; nothing about your visit is processed, stored, or profiled.

No analytics, no cookies, no tracking

The site sets no cookies, loads no analytics or advertising scripts, and performs no tracking of any kind. Fonts are served from Google Fonts; if you prefer to avoid that, your browser or a content blocker can enforce system fonts — the site remains fully usable.

Content appears only under explicit approval

Everything published here — the biography, experience, qualifications, and contact details — was reviewed and explicitly approved by Dr Makola before release. Each release is content-hashed and registered, so what you read is exactly what she approved.

No health information

This website is not a clinical service. It carries no patient information, offers no medical advice, and cannot receive confidential health information. Please do not send medical or clinical details through this site's contact address.

Your rights under POPIA

Because the site collects no personal information, there is ordinarily nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you believe any content here relates to you and you would like it reviewed, you may contact Dr Makola via the details on the contact section.

Changes to this statement

If the site's practices ever change, this page will be updated to say so plainly — before any change takes effect.
